Writing Your Announcement

Use one of our standard formats SAMPLE ANNOUNCEMENTS, inserting appropriate information, or write your own. If you choose to write your own, make sure the length is appropriate for the announcement size you are reserving. Announcements that exceed the recommended word length will be edited at our discretion to fit the reserved space.

Required Information

Announcements copy - Use our sample format SAMPLE ANNOUNCEMENTS or write your own. Limit copy to number of words recommended for the ad size you plan to reserve. If necessary, copy will be edited to fit within available ad space.
Self-addressed, stamped envelope for photo returns
Prepayment - if submitting an ONLINE ANNOUNCEMENT REQUEST, an Advertising Sales Representative will call you back during business hours to confirm your ad placement, arrange for payment and any additional details required.

Submission Directions

Reservations are accepted by phone, e-mail, Internet, or in-person. To reserve by phone, call our Advertising Department at (208) 377-6350. E-mail requests should be sent to celebrations@idahostatesman.com. Internet requests can be made by completing the ONLINE ANNOUNCEMENT REQUEST form. If you prefer to stop by in person or would like to mail your announcement, our address is:

Photos

All packages may include a photo and will be posted on IdahoStatesman.com. Photos can be submitted in black and white or in color. Important: Photos will only be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided with your announcement. If you would like to submit your photo by email, please send it to celebrations@idahostatesman.com with a detailed description of the announcement.
